Repeat signs

A bar line with two dots to its left closes a repeat: when you reach it you go back to the bar line with two dots on its right, or to the beginning if there is none, and play the section again. Once only, unless the score says otherwise.

To count how many bars sound: the ones before the repeat count once, and the ones inside it count twice.
