Playing above and below the staff

The notes outside the staff join in: C4 and D4 below, G5 above. They are the ones you already read in unit 5, but now you have to produce them, and that is where it shows whether you really know which octave they are in.

Two and a half octaves apart

If a ledger-line note keeps coming out an octave off, go back to the nearest landmark and count from it: C4 sits just below the staff, C5 in the third space.

Drill

The session goes on until every skill below is mastered: at least 10 answers, at most 40. Your progress carries over between sessions.
