G2 and C4

G2 sits on the first line, the lowest line of the staff. It is the lowest note written without ledger lines in the bass clef.

C4 is middle C, the same note that the treble clef wrote on a ledger line below. In the bass clef it sits on a ledger line above. It is the bridge between the two clefs: one key, written two ways.
