The flat
A flat (♭) lowers the note by a semitone. B♭ sounds between A and B: the black key between them. That same key is also A♯; a black key has two names, and which one is used depends on the context (you will see this with keys).
C♭ and F♭ exist, just like E♯ and B♯: C♭ is the B key, and F♭ the E key. They are rare, but they are not mistakes.
